Four properties that make this different from a sale

Owners hear "we buy operational data" and reasonably picture handing something over permanently. That is not the structure.

Defined

The licence names what it covers. Scope is agreed during the review, before anything is signed or moves.

Bounded

Use is limited by the terms. What is outside the scope is not licensed and does not become ours later.

Non-exclusive to your life

You go on using the record yourself. Granting a licence does not remove your own access to anything.

Non-dilutive

No equity and no debt. It does not sit on the cap table and it does not sit on the balance sheet as a liability.

Scope gets agreed

Anonymization is handled before anything moves. Identifying fields are stripped as part of preparing it.

Typically $100K to $2M, Net 30 to 60, once the data has been approved, shared, and anonymized.

Do we still own the data afterwards?

Yes. You keep the business and you keep ownership of the underlying data. The licence is defined and bounded.

Can we still use it ourselves?

Yes. Granting a licence does not remove your own access or your own right to use the record however you like.

Does Polyshares get ongoing access to our systems?

No. The licence covers a defined slice of operational data. There is no standing connection to your stack.

What happens to the data afterwards?

We anonymize it, build it into data sets, and supply AI labs. Use is bounded by the licence, and we do not disclose which labs take which data.
